Donna Marie (Stewart) Kainz
Donna Marie (Stewart) Kainz, 83, Bloomer, passed away peacefully in her sleep, Thursday, Dec. 26, 2024, at Dove Healthcare Bloomer.
Born Jan. 13, 1941, in Bruce, S.D., Donna lived a life of love, devotion and selflessness.
As a housewife on the family farm, Donna was the heart of her home. She took immense joy in baking, cooking, gardening and canning.
A dedicated mother, she was actively involved in her children’s activities, from sports and 4-H, to serving on the election board.
Donna was a sweet and loving soul, a selfless caregiver, who touched the lives of everyone she met.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years – David Kainz; her sisters – Corrine Fenske, Nancy (Doug) Thompson and Susan (Harlan) Feldhus; sisters-in-law – Debbie Stewart and Monica Anderson; her children – Dawn (Jeff) Hink, Douglas (fiancé Melissa) Kainz, Daniel (Amy) Kainz and Dustin (Barb) Kainz; grandchildren – Justin (Jayme) Hink, Bethany Desjardins, Brianna Pelch, Andres Kainz, Liliana Kainz, Lauren Kainz and Cashton Kainz; her great-grandchildren – Hudson Hink, Ava Hink and Amelia Desjardins; and numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents – Roy and Ester Stewart; her siblings – Caroline (Leo) Engberg, David Stewart and Barbara (James) Nelson; her sister-in-law – Kathleen Hathaway; her brothers-in-law – Robert Fenske, Russell Hathaway and Herbie Anderson; her daughter- in-law – Bette Kainz; and her granddaughter – Grace Kainz.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Dove Healthcare Bloomer, for their compassionate care.
Donna’s kindness, warmth and devotion to her family will be cherished forever.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 3, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, in Holcombe. Visitation will start at noon, and go until the start of service, at 2 p.m.
