Sandra Fae Geist

Sandra Fae Geist, Chippewa Falls, passed away Monday, Aug. 12, 2024, at home, surrounded by her children.

Sandra was a loving wife to her husband, Wayne, for over 57 years. Together, they raised a rather large family of seven sons and a daughter.

In addition to being a loving wife, a mother and grandmother, she worked a variety of jobs. She also earned an accounting degree from Chippewa Valley Technical College.

After retiring, she and Wayne moved to their lake home in Winter, where they enjoyed many hobbies, including ceramics and stained glass. They moved to Chippewa Falls, in 2019, to be closer to family and friends.

After Wayne died in October 2023, Sandra was admitted to Dove West in Eau Claire, where she was very active.

She is survived by her children – Larry (Dodee) Geist, Lonnie Geist, Brad (Heidi) Geist, Wayne (Lisa) Geist, Bill (Tanya) Holbrook, Wendy Jo (Mike) Bergh and Wade (Becki) Geist; her grandchildren – Cowan (Leslie), Stacey, Alicia, Nick, Tommy (Melanie), Jasmine (Kenny), Jacob, Thomas, Sarah, Michael, Paul, Lynn, Jessica, Amanda, Justin (Kelly), Eric (Sara), Kyle (Hannah), Mitchell (Caley), Isaac (Alishia) and Memphis; and her 10 greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband – Wayne; her parents – Percy “Bud” P. and Phyllis M. Holbrook; her brothers – Wilbur and Thomas Holbrook; her sister – Sharon Cain; her son – Brian Geist; her grandson – Stephen Geist; and her granddaughter – Sara Geist.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Aug. 24, at Northwoods Church in Cornell, from 9:30-11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Greg Sima officiating. A graveside service will be held at Cornell Cemetery following the service and a luncheon will be served in the church basement, following the graveside service.
