Richard “Dick” Henry Nyhus, 94, Bloomer, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024, at Meadowbrook of Bloomer.

Dick was born Nov. 13, 1929, to Henry and Ethel (Hull) Nyhus, at his home in Eagle Point.

He married Donna Jean Knipfer, Nov. 1, 1949; together, they had four children – Diane, Ken, Debby and Terri.

Dick worked his whole career in the home building and concrete industry. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife – Donna; his four children – Diane Alme, Ken (Cheryl) Nyhus, Debby (Dale) Wilcox and Terri (Dennis) Webster; grandchildren – Shane Alme, Paul Alme, Timothy Alme, Joel Alme, Michael Nyhus, Christopher (Tessa) Nyhus, John-Paul Hurley, Andrew (Chezlie) Hurley, McKinsey (Joshua) Lowenberg, Stephanie (Cory) Krizan and Nickolas (Jamie) Webster; great-grandchildren – Lane, Blakely, Veronica, Zack, Henry, Max, Jaxon, Bennett, Addison, Cambria, Eliana, Alexis, Derrick, Zackary, Braden, Maddelyn, Kylie, Cameron and Chase; and one great-great-grandchild – Evelyn. He was preceded in death by his parents – Henry and Ethel; sister – Marie; and brother – Bob. It was exactly 30 years to the day, that his brother Bob passed away, that Dick passed away.
