Marlan Larson passed away Friday, May 10, 2024, at the age of 89, with family by his side.

Marlan proudly served in the Army, 9th Infantry Division, in Germany. After that, he and his brother, owned and operated the (Citgo) City Service Station in Oak Creek, for 10 years, and Marlan went on to retire, after 29 years at Briggs & Stratton in Milwaukee.

He was an avid gardener and spent most summers in Birch Creek, on the family farm where he grew up.

Marlan made many friends throughout his life and most recently, at the Waters of Oak Creek.

He is survived by and is the beloved brother of – Vernon (Lorraine) Larson; sister – Bonnie (Tom) Farber; cherished uncle to nephews – Greg (Gail), Ron (Linda), Ken (Thuy), Dave (Sue) and Bill (Paula) Larson, Tom (Tammy), Mike and Mark (Sandy) Zimmerman; niece – Sheryl Larson; and many great-nephews and great-nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Forest Larson and Cora Larson-Irwin; sister – Betty Larson; and nephew – Gary Zimmerman.

A private service will be held in Cornell. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Salvation Army or Wounded Warriors Project are appreciated.
