Andrew Wallace Weil

Andrew Wallace Weil died suddenly Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at his home in Eau Claire.
Andrew was born to Gina (Selmer) and Drew Weil, March 27, 1988. He grew up in Osseo, where he attended school with his twin brother, Charles.
He lived with his grandparents in Cornell, while he worked at East Bay Resort, as a head cook, for two years. His bedroom in Cornell, was always an incredible mess.
Andrew was periodically told by his grandmother, to clean it and tidy it. This was a futile suggestion. However, after he married, he learned about housekeeping and became spot-on.
He and his siblings used to spend summers, and holidays, in Cornell, with their grandparents. Andrew also used to go camping with them at Brunet Island State Park, also in Cornell. He did a lot of swimming, and learned about the natural world and to value it.
A favorite memory during this time, was when he was about eight and standing in their back yard, when their white boxer, Bodger, ran across the yard and flipped Andrew. His arms and legs were spread out, and he looked
like a windmill, as he spun through the air. The dog looked like she was laughing.
Andrew met his beloved wife, Sarah Nagel, at East Bay, where she also worked. They have been married for 12 years, and living in Eau Claire, ever since.
He most recently worked for the U.S. Postal Service, in Eau Claire, They were very good to him and kept him on, when he had a serious and year-long health issue.
Andrew was a reader and almost always had a book at-hand. His favorites were the Harry Potter series, to which he also introduced his grandmother. He also loved animals and had them all his life.
He is survived by his wife – Sarah; children – Charles and Evelyn Weil; mom – Gina; dad – Scott Kircher; his sisters – Eden and Ryan Bemis, and their children – John, Grace, Emma and Cora, and Audrey Van Campen, and children – Andrew, Alice and Kanyon; brother – Jeremy; and grandparents – David Barry and Bonnie Selmer.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother – Charles; his sister – Cora Jane; his father – Drew Weil; and his grandparents – Wallace and Jane Weil.
Andrew’s obituary was written by his beloved Grandma Rex.
