Diane D. Braden

Diane D. Braden, 78, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024, at her home.

Diane was born in Holcombe, Feb. 19, 1946, the daughter of Elmer and Dorothy (Luethi) Holloway.

She married Charles Carothers Jr., April 14, 1962, in Chippewa Falls. They lived in Holcombe and Cornell, where they raised their four children. They were married until his death, Dec. 15, 2010.

Diane met Lawrence “Larry” Braden and married him, Nov. 15, 2011.

She is survived by her husband – Larry; two daughters

– Sherry (Larry) Pischke, Macon, Ga., and Lisa (Jason) Jevne, Cornell; two sons – Patrick Carothers, Cornell, and David (Marg) Carothers, Chippewa Falls; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents – Elmer and Dorothy Holloway; her husband – Charles Carothers; and two brothers – David Holloway and Leon Holloway.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, June 7, at Northwoods Church in Cornell, with Pastor Greg Sima officiating. Visitation will start at 11 a.m., and go until the start of service at 1 p.m.

A private family burial will take place after the luncheon, at the church.
