Timothy Edwin Pinney, 61, passed away suddenly in his home, Sunday, May 5, 2024.

Timothy was the youngest of five children to be born to Raymond and Virginia (Thatcher) Pinney, of Holcombe, Aug. 5, 1962.

He never married or had any children, but was a good and fun uncle, to his five nieces and one nephew.

Timothy graduated from Holcombe Public Schools in 1980. He spent a brief time in the Army Reserves, starting in 1982, and attended Wyoming Tech, receiving a degree as a diesel mechanic.

He worked a number of years, at Walters Bros. in Holcombe, and at Weather Shield in Ladysmith. At the time of his passing, he’d worked as a mill wright for 10 years.

Timothy enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, reading, riding his horse and four-wheeler, watching football and growing a big garden every year.

He is survived by one sister – Virginia (Bobo), Des Moines, Wash.; one brother – Ray Pinney, Holcombe; his nieces and nephew, and their families; and several close friends – Cheryl Winchel and Dan Klein.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters – Judy and Donna (Mrs. Juan Alvarez); and several aunts; uncles and cousins.

Services are Saturday, May 11, with visitation from 12:30-2 p.m., services following, at Borton-Leiser Funeral Home in Cornell. Burial follows at the Holcombe Cemetery.
