Kenneth “Ken” L. Schulze
Kenneth “Ken” L. Schulze, 80, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024.
Ken grew up on a dairy farm in the Town of Ruby, in northwestern Wisconsin.
He married his high school sweetheart, Delores, Nov. 10, 1962. Together, they packed up and moved to Milwaukee, to work and raise their three children.
Ken worked for the Oilgear Company for almost 45 years, before his retirement.
In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, tinkering on motors, riding ATV, spendng summers on Lake Holcombe, but most of all, he was an avid toy tractor collector. He loved traveling to various shows to see if he could add “just one more” tractor to his large collection.
Ken and Delores also did a lot of traveling, enjoyed bowling and spending weekends watching their grandkids play sports, and cheering them on. At the age of 71, he earned another title and became a great-grandpa.
He just LOVED holding the babies, going for walks, riding bikes with them, giving them rides on his ATV and going to a few violin recitals.
Ken was their Great Opa, and will be sorely missed by all of us and all those who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife – Delores, of 61 years; his children – Lisa (Steve) Behnke and Kevin (Mary Jo) Schulze; his grandchildren – Luke (Laura) Behnke, Peter (Jamie) Behnke, Erin (Nick) Casper, and Hannah and Ken (Kim) Schulze; great-grandchildren – Grace, Harrison, Jonathan, Peter Jr., Daniella, Mallory Behnke, and Wyatt and Xavier Casper; his brothers – Don (Rizza) and Duane; nieces; nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 29, from 2-5 p.m., at Molthen-Bell & Son Funeral Home in Milwaukee.
