Debora “Debbie” J. Kenealy

Debora “Debbie” J. Kenealy, 68, Town of Edson, Cadott, passed away peacefully, Sunday, Dec. 31, 2023, at the Marshfield Medical Center in Eau Claire.

Debbie was born Dec. 16, 1955, in Fall Creek, to William and Lois (Woodford) Walker.

She grew up in the Fall Creek and Augusta area, and attended and graduated from Fall Creek High School in 1974. Following high school, she worked at various jobs in the area.

Debora Walker married John D. Kenealy, Oct. 2, 1981, at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Chippewa Falls.

Following marriage, Debbie was employed at Cray Research in Chippewa Falls, for several years, and later, helped on the family farm.

Debbie enjoyed riding horses, raising calves and spending time with her grandsons, family and friends.

She is survived by her son – Jeff (Trista) Kenealy; grandsons – Delton Kenealy and Timothy Kenealy; siblings – Patricia Veverka, Virginia Sale, Rod Walker, Kevin Walker and Brian Walker; brothers and sisters-in-law – Deone (Dotty) Kenealy, Pat (Cindy) Kenealy and Rick (Monica) Kenealy; and many aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband – John D. Kenealy; a son in infancy – John Kenealy Jr.; parents – William and Lois Walker; a brother – Duane Walker; a sister – Linda Heath; father and mother-in-law – Delton and Delores Kenealy; and many aunts and uncles.

A service of Christian burial was held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 9, at Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott, with Father William Felix officiating. Interment was in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Town of Edson, following the service.

Visitation was held from 4-8 p.m., Monday, Jan. 8, and also one hour prior to the services, Tuesday morning, at the funeral home.
