Delores Mae Kenealy
Delores Mae Kenealy, 92, Cadott, passed away Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023, at the Chippewa Manor Nursing Home in Chippewa Falls.
Delores was born July 5, 1931, in Cadott, to Herman and Evelyn (Breen) Knitter.
She graduated from Cadott High School.
Delores Knitter was united in marriage to Delton C. Kenealy, June 20, 1950, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cadott. Following marriage, they lived and farmed for 42 years, in the Town of Edson, until 1991, when she moved to the Village of Cadott.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in the Town of Edson, and also a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Cadott, where she was involved in the church circle for many years. She served in several offices and she was co-founder of, and served as, Queen of the Red Hat Group.
Delores enjoyed playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her three sons β Deone (Dotty) Kenealy, Cadott, Patrick (Cindy) Kenealy, Minnesota, and Richard βRickβ (Monica) Kenealy, Hawkins; daughterin- law β Debbie Kenealy, Cadott; grandchildren β Jeremy (Heidi), Jay, Jeff (Trista), Abby (Tchad) Henderson, Jamie (Jared), Zachary, Alexander and Victoria; greatgrandchildren β Brad (Ava), Brooke, Delton, Timothy and Brayden; great-great-grandson β Scottie; a sister β Lynn (Tom) Frank; and many nieces; nephews; extended family and close friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents β Herman and Evelyn Knitter; husband β Delton Kenealy; son β John Kenealy; infant grandson β John William Kenealy; brothers β Donald (Jean) Knitter, Bernard (Nancy) Knitter and Richard (Jeannie) Knitter; and her baby sister β Ann Marie.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 3 p.m., Friday, Oct. 13, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cadott, with Father William Felix officiating. Interment will be in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Town of Edson, following the service.
Visitation will be held at the church, Friday, from 1:30 p.m. until the time of service, at 3 p.m.
