Geraldine (Pahl) White
Geraldine (Pahl) White, 86, passed away peacefully at her home in Cornell, Monday Sept. 25.
Geraldine was born Oct. 17,1936, to Walter and Hazel (Cooper) Pahl, in Cornell.
She had 10 siblings, and they grew up in the Cornell and Holcombe area.
Geraldine married the love of her life, Donald “Don” White, in 1957, and they moved to the Milwaukee area, where they lived for 12 years. They returned to Holcombe, in the early 1970s, to raise their two boys, Bill and Tony.
Her boys were everything to her, and she worried and fussed over them until Monday, when she finally relinquished that duty to their wives.
Geraldine was a homemaker and worked as a seamstress for many years, at Jack’s Slax in Sheldon, and then Artisans in Glen Flora. She loved sewing so much, she would come home after a day of sewing, and sew clothing and blankets for her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sisters - Mavis and Dorothy; a brother - Rodger; and her two sons - Bill (Patty) White and Tony (Peggy) White; seven grandchildren - Joe, Joshua, Nathan, Heather, Jacob, Nicole and Ashley; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband - Don; her sisters - Erma, Irene, Paulette, Lois and Ruth Anne; and her brothers - Milton (Mick) and Walter (Butch).
Stokes, Prock, & Mundt Cremation Society of Wisconsin, is assisting the family with final arrangements.
A private family burial is planned for Sunday, Oct. 15.
