Dorothy Ann (Stifter) Dressel, 91, Cadott, passed away Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, at Marshfield Medical Center.

Dorothy was born July 14, 1932, in Colfax, to Bernard and Mary (Rothbauer) Stifter.

She moved with her family from Colfax to Cadott, in 1942, where she graduated from Cadott High School.

Dorothy married Harold E. Dressel Oct. 24, 1951; following marriage she farmed her entire life on their farm in the Town of Lafayette.

Dorothy enjoyed gardening, flowers, painting, ceramics, decorating, caring for her percheron horses, cats, dogs, and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her three children – Barbara (Steve) Missfeldt, Cadott, Julia (Dan) Liebscher, Sanibel, Fla., and Steve (Jean) Dressel, Cadott; seven grandchildren – Stephen (Amy) Dressel Jr., Katie (Blake) Hasmuk, Emily (Andrew) Drilling, Tanya (Justin) Liebscher-Dillaha, Dereck (Adrianne) Liebscher, Steve (Tara) Missfeldt Jr. and Adam (friend Laurel) Missfeldt; 15 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and special friends – Sandy Nelson, Linda Falch and Kathy Kreutzfeldt.

She was preceded in death by her parents – Bernard and Mary Stifter; husband – Harold Dressel; a brother – Donald Stifter; sisters – Irene (Howard) Ryan, Marie (Junior) Raether and Bernadine (Bud) Ybema; and her father and mother-in-law – Andrew and Margaret Dressel.

A service of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 9, 2023, at Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott, with Deacon Ned Willkom officiating. Inurnment will be in the St. Rose Cemetery in Cadott, following the service.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m., until the time of service, 11 a.m., Monday morning, at the funeral home.
