Theodore “Ted” E. Kane

Theodore “Ted” E. Kane, 77, Boyd, passed away Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023.

Ted was born Jan. 23, 1946, to Leo M. and Margaret (Brunner) Kane, in the Town of Delmar.

He was raised on the family farm in the Town of Delmar, where he was the youngest of 17 kids.

Ted worked at Horel-George as a commercial roofer for over 30 years.

He was a member of the Cadott Lions Club, where he received the Lion of the Year Award, Melvin Jones Award and the Birch-Sturm Award, and was the former Scout Master for Troop 65 and was Union President of BA Roofer Local 202.

Ted enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his children – Julie (Dan) Yeager, Dan Lancor, Ted Kane and Paul Kane; grandchildren – Alan (Kara), Derek (Angel), Merissa (Bri), Stephanie (Joe), Megan, Paisley, McKenna, Chelsea (Donald), Max and Milo; great-grandchildren – Brantley, Granger, Hudson, Hailey, Jaxson, Emelia, Kyler, Brinley and Donald; siblings – Grace Weisner, Catherine Roshell, Martha Richards and Pat Kane; very special friend – Jennifer Farlow; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Leo and Margaret Kane; siblings – Sister Rose Kane, John Kane, Mary Kane, Paul Kane, Joseph “Pete” Kane, Lucy Delzer, George Kane, Leo “Sam” Kane, Francis Kane, Theresa Jelden, Christopher Kane and Josephine Kane.

A prayer service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 11, at Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott, with Vern Weeks officiating. Inurnment will be held at the St. Rose Cemetery, Town of Sigel, at a later date.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m., until the time of the service, Saturday, at the funeral home.
