Paulette Meyer
It is with love and gratitude that we celebrate the life of Paulette L. Meyer, age 82, of Dorchester, a mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother, who passed away peacefully from natural causes on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Clark County Rehab & Living Center in Owen.
Paulette Louise Gorichs was born on October 19,1942, in Milwaukee, the daughter of John A. and Marilyn R. (Czerwinski) Gorichs. She was raised and received her education in Waterford, where she graduated from Waterford High School in 1961. Paulette was united in marriage to Ronald L. Meyer on October 13,1962, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Waterford. She attended Carthage College in Kenosha, where she earned her degree in nursing, a profession that would define much of her life. As a registered nurse, Paulette devoted herself to helping others.
In addition to her nursing career, together with her husband, Ronald, they ran a farm, balancing the demanding work of agriculture with the responsibilities of raising their family. Paulette's work ethic and commitment to her family were a cornerstone of her life, as she managed both her nursing career and life on the farm. Her husband passed away on July 9, 2002, after a battle with cancer, and Paulette continued to honor his memory through her love for their children and grandchildren.
Paulette is survived by four children: John (Beth) Meyer of North Carolina, Bridget Meyer of Rochester, Minn., Ed (Christina) Meyer of North Carolina and Marilynn White of La Crosse; eight grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Brenda Rose, on May 3, 1972, at age 7; and one son, Mark, on October 13, 2002.
In honoring her wishes, there will be no public service. May she rest in peace.
