Dolores Seubert
Dolores E. Seubert, age 96, of Dorchester, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 1,2025, under the tender care of St. Croix Hospice at Colby Senior Care.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 11 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester. Interment to follow at Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Father Arockia Amirtha Raj Stanislaus will preside.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, April 15,2025, at the Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford for visitation from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. with a Rosary service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will also be from 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at St. Louis Catholic Church. The honor of pallbearers belongs to Dolores’s six great-grandsons: Colton, Dallas, Riley, Caden, Isaac and Zachary Dolores was born on April 6, 1928, to John V. and Minnie D. (Storbeck) Gebert in Chicago, 111. She was united in marriage to Francis J. Seubert on May 29,1945, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Stetsonville. He preceded her in death on July 27,1992.
Dolores, along with her husband, Francis, owned and operated milk trucks and delivered milk to the Medford creamery from 1945-1956. They had their own spray painting business and also raised mink on their family farm in Dorchester. Together they built a thriving business. In 1952 they established Seubert Calf Ranches. Dolores and her family bought, fed, transported and sold calves throughout the United States with exports to Europe. Dolores still maintained part ownership of the family business to date. Dolores was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church and the Rosary Altar Society. She enjoyed music and playing the organ. She also enjoyed tending to her flowers, plants and watching the birds and feeding the fish, ducks and geese on her pond in her back yard. She took pride in her yard with many hours of mowing lawn until age 90. Her time was also donated mowing at St. Louis Church.
Most important, Dolores loved and cherished her family and was known as the family historian. She enjoyed sharing countless life experiences with family and friends.
Dolores is survived by her son, Terry (Sherry) Seubert of Dorchester; four grandsons: Michael of Cecil, Patrick (Julie Fry) of Winston-Salem, N.C., Steven (Kristi) of Dorchester and Robert of Dorchester; 10 great-grandchildren: Colton, Hailie, Dallas, Marquette, Phoenix, Riley, Caden, Paige, Isaac and Zachary. She is further survived by her sister, Donna Lindberg; two brothers: Jerry (Betty) Gebert and Ronald (Patricia) Gebert; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Francis; two sisters: Lois Kalson and Joan Vetter; and four brothers: Ralph, Charles, Alvin and Norman.
