Isabelle Happli

On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, Isabelle Happli joined her loved ones who have passed on before her.

Isabelle was born April 12, 1934, to John and Ramona (Dahlke) Kamenick. She attended Marathon school through eighth grade, then attended St. Rose's Convent in La Crosse through high school.

On October 17, 1955, she married the love of her life, James “Jim” Happli at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Wausau. They farmed in the Town of Green Valley and later, Isabelle worked for many years as a secretary for Maurer's Roofing in Marshfield. She loved her flower gardens and enjoyed watching her birds. Her “great grands” warmed her heart and always brought a smile to her face.

Her greatest joy was the family she and Jim created. She is survived by her loving family: Tess (Rick) Hiemer of Menomonee, Barb (Jack) Kaiser, Julie (Duane) Boehm and Janet (Dale) Boehm, all of Mosinee; grandchildren: Karla (Rob) Knorr, Kelly (Dan) McKinney, Holly (Gary) Stankowski, Jake (Olivia) Kaiser, Ali Happli, Katie (Matt) Bauman, Josh (Kristen) Boehm, Kasey (Grant) Peissig, Heidi (Lucas) Kramer, Andrea (Dan) Murphy, Korey (Julia) Boehm, Jared Boehm, Abigail (Chris Keiser) Happli and Hannah Boehm; great-grandchildren: Caden, Carter and Camden Knorr, Ella and Cora Stankowski, Brooklyn and Parker Kaiser, Bo and Rowyn Bauman, Graham, Landon and Brynleigh Boehm, Olive Bielmeier, Piper, Lincoln and Colby Peissig, Addisyn, Alaina, Alexis and Isaac Kramer, Maren and Meyer Murphy, Aeden and Liam Boehm and Quinn Keiser; a brother, Duane (Audrey) Kamenick, and sisters-in-law: Nancy Kamenick, Bev Koss and Marlene Happli, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; son, James “Chico” Happli, Jr.; daughter, Mary Happli; granddaughter, Amanda Boehm; her parents and sisters: Ethel (Joe) Masanz, Lucille (Bill) Wehba, Florence (Dick) Wallace, Eileen (Don) St. Pierre, Genevieve (Al) Joswiak, Anita (Erv) Jagodinski, Marie (Jim) Koss; brothers: John Kamenick and Rudy (Betty) Kamenick; her in-laws, John and Bess Happli; brothers-in-law: Donald Happli, Kenny Happli and John Happli and sister-in-law, Mary.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Haider with Rev. Joseph Nakwah presiding. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Family and friends and invited to gather on Tuesday at the church in Haider from 9 a.m. until the time of service. The honor of pallbearer belongs to Jake Kaiser, Josh Boehm, Kory Boehm, Jared Boehm, Caden Knorr and Carter Knorr.

If desired, the family is accepting memorial donations in Isabelle’s name for a charity yet to be determined.
