Guy Rankl

Guy J. Rankl, age 83, of Abbotsford, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, under the tender care of Heartland Hospice. A graveside service will be held at a later date.

Guy was born on November 12,1941, the son of Clarence and Ethel (Schiebe) Rankl in Marshfield. He graduated from Abbotsford High School in 1960. Guy was united in marriage to Catherine Zink on December 31, 1976, in Stevens Point. She preceded him in death on December 30, 2001.

Guy proudly farmed in the Town of Holton for 39 years. He also earned his pilot license at a young age. Guy enjoyed model railroads, military history and watching the Packers. He also enjoyed traveling with Catherine, including Texas, Colorado and Alaska. Guy especially loved being out west. Most importantly, he loved and cherished his family.

Guy is survived by his three children: Ben Rankl (Sara Anunson) of Fox Crossing, Jordan (Terri) Rankl of Kaukauna and Sarah Rankl of Abbotsford; four grandchildren: Charlotte, Rosalie, Tucker and Lucas Rankl. He further survived by his brother, James (Cindy) Rankl of Cheyenne, Wy.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; his son, Adam and his brother, Jerry (Arlene) Rankl.
