Alan LeBlanc

Alan (Al) R. LeBlanc, 68, passed away on December 23, 2024, at his home in Delano, Minn., with family by his side.

Al was born February 23, 1956, in Lynn, Mass., to Raphael A. LeBlanc and Patricia (O’Rourke) Finley.

He spent his early years in Massachusetts and Iowa before his family moved to Central Wisconsin.

After graduating from Marathon High School, Al proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged. On August 28, 1982, he married Katherine (Kate) A. Roberts, beginning a loving partnership that spanned over four decades.

Al spent most of his career working at Marathon Cheese Corporation, where he rose through the ranks to eventually oversee the maintenance department, which spoke to his uncanny ability to fix just about anything ranging from house repairs and automobiles to the multi-million-dollar equipment at work.

Known for his quiet demeanor and sharp sense of humor, Al loved a good joke. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in fishing trips to Algoma and deer hunting - proudly displaying his prized trophies from successful hunts. He also loved traveling with his wife Kate and family. Al shared a passion for motorcycles with his son Rob, embarking on memorable trips to Sturgis, S.D., and Spirit Lake, Iowa.

Above all, he cherished his family. Al’s grandson, Colton Alan, was born in 2020 and quickly became the light of his life.

Al is survived by his wife Kate, daughter Jessica, son Rob (Nacia) LeBlanc and grandson Colton; brothers: Brian (Karen) LeBlanc and Bruce LeBlanc; his aunt, Frances O’Rourke, his in-laws: Mark Roberts, Stephen (Eileen) Roberts, Jeff (Dawna) Roberts, Laurie Roberts, Jennifer (Mark) Schiefelbein and Christine (Bob Parent) Anderson, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raphael and Patricia; in-laws, Robert and Vivian Roberts; and his brother-in-law, Thomas Roberts.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 23,2025, from 2 - 5 p.m. at Rib River by Accentu Inc. in Marathon. At a later date, a private interment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minnesota. The family kindly requests that no flowers or plants be sent. In lieu, please consider donating to The Highground Veterans Memorial Park in Neillsville, Wisconsin, or to the family for a memorial stone in Al's honor.

A special thanks to all who provided care and support to Al and his family over the years, including St. Croix Hospice, Dr. Donald Fahey-Ahrndt and Dr. Thomas Stoffel. A special thanks to his lifelong friends who continued to check on him and local friend, Wanda Adelman, and her loving German Shepherd, Teddy Bear, for their frequent visits. Al will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those he leaves behind.

Arrangements are with the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia. 952-442--
