Pamela “Pam” Lenore Chwala
It is with a heavy heart, that we announce the passing of Pamela “Pam” Lenore Chwala, Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025, at the age of 70, at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau, with her family by her side.
Pam was born Aug. 26, 1954, to Leonard L. Beighley and Dorothy M. Beighley.
She grew up in Cornell, and graduated from Cornell High School.
Pam married Darrell Friedel, Dec. 20, 1974. The two moved to Stanley, where they raised three children and separated, after 21 years.
She moved to Boyd, in 2000, and met Dale Chwala. Pam and Dale were united in marriage, June 21, 2002, and later separated.
Pam spent many years building her career in the financial industry. She worked at various financial institutions in the Chippewa Valley. She spent the last 10 years of her career, at the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in Viroqua.
She retired from the USDA in 2016, and moved back to Cadott. Pam also enjoyed working various other side jobs and retired from Kohls Department Store in 2022.
Her greatest pride and joy, was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time with her family and attending all her grandchildren’s events.
Pam also enjoyed going on walks and spoiling her dog, Jazzper.
She is survived by her children – Angela (Cory) Zais, Jim Falls, Kevin (Connie) Friedel, Stanley, and Christine (Curtis) Galvez, Cadott; grandchildren – Mykell (Adam) Peterson, Mariya (Alex Sedivy) Ouimet, Levi (Tiara) Friedel, Isaiah Friedel, Ella Zais, Keagan Galvez and Karson Galvez; great-grandchildren – Leif, Willow, Briar and Addison; siblings – Mike Beighley, Lorraine (Delbert) Friedel, Lenny Beighley, Lori Jones and Peggy (Rod) Patten.
She was preceded in death by her parents – Leonard L. Beighley and Dorothy M. Beighley; sister – Brenda Vasseur; and lifelong friend – Darrell P. Friedel.
Though our hearts are heavy with grief, we find solace in the knowledge that Pam lived a life filled with purpose and love. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy will continue to inspire us all.
Mom, your light will never fade. You will remain forever in our hearts.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 15, at Abundant Life Pentecostal Church in Thorp, with Pastor Dustin Owens officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at the Cornell Cemetery, at a later date.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m., until the time of service, 11 a.m., Saturday, at the church.
Leiser Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Cadott, is assisting the family.
