Mitchell Dahlke
Mitchell “Mitch” Steven Dahlke passed away at the age of 30 on January 28, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Wausau on February 6,1994.
Mitchell graduated from Edgar High School in 2012 and later earned a bachelor’s in psychology from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He had a lot of experience working in customer service but was most passionate about helping others as a counselor at Bolton Refuge House in Eau Claire.
Although school and work were a necessity, Mitchell’s true life revolved around theater and music. His love for these began at the age of five when he was cast as a tarantula in the Missoula Children’s Theater production “Wiz of the West.” From there he participated in numerous theatre productions put on by Edgar Theatre Company, Wausau Community Theatre and Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild. Some of Mitchell’s favorite productions included “Fiddler on the Roof’, “Southern Hospitality”, “A Christmas Carol”, “Hairspray” and singing a solo in Spanish in “Working.” In addition to being a talented actor, Mitchell was also an incredibly talented musician. He started his musical journey playing percussion throughout middle and high school, then taught himself to play other instruments, including the guitar and keyboard. Mitchell was the lead singer and guitarist in a band formed with his friends, Sense of Reality, playing gigs around the area including opening for the Christian metal rock band, P.O.D. at the Q& Z Expo Center in Ringle. Mitchell also had a love for movies growing up and enjoyed being a movie critic. This inspired him to write and direct “Mini-Bond”, a short movie created with his siblings and close cousins in their childhood.
Mitchell’s legacy is carried on by his loving family including his parents, Dale and Amy Dahlke of Edgar; his brothers: Raymond (Danielle) Dahlke of Kronenwetter and Dustin (Stacey) Dahlke of Athens, and his sister, Jessica Dahlke of Edgar; his nieces and nephew: Lucy, Cara, Peyton, Isaac and a
