Eugene “Gene” Djubenski

Eugene N. “Gene” Djubenski, 71, Greenwood, passed away on Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, at House of the Dove in Marshfield. Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 31, 2025, at Cuddie Funeral Home in Greenwood, from 5-8 p.m. Private family services will be held with burial to follow in the Willard Cemetery in Willard.

Eugene Neil Djubenski was born on Nov. 30, 1953, in Marshfield, the son of Roger A. Djubenski and Mary B. (Snedic) Plautz-Djubenski. He was raised on the family farm. He received his education at Rocky Run School in Willard, and graduated from Greenwood High School in 1972. After high school, Gene remained on the farm and worked alongside his father. He was united in marriage to Sharon Ann Auman on Oct. 30, 1976, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard. They farmed together until selling the farm in 2004 and moving into Greenwood. Gene then went to work at the feed mill in Greenwood, now River Country Co-op, where he worked until his passing.

Gene was a true gentleman, always putting others first and making sure they were taken care of. He was a father figure to many who knew him. Abeloved husband, father, and proud uncle, he cherished every moment he got to spend with those he held close.

Gene had many interests, but especially loved his pets, nature, farming, and hunting. He is survived by his son, Daniel Djubenski (Brandon Litwiller) of Eleva; two siblings: Pat (Kay) Plautz and Mary Jo (Randy) Fox, both of Willard; and nieces, nephews, other relative, and friends.

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Michael Plautz. Online condolences may be expressed at www.cuddiefh.com. Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, is assisting the family with arrangements.
