Norman Leffel Jr.
Norman J. Leffel, Jr., 58, of Marathon, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
He was born on January 5,1966, in Wausau, to the late Norman E. and Arlene (Baumann) Leffel. Norman graduated from Edgar High School with the class of 1984. He later married the former Ann Goodin, and she preceded him in death in 2023.
Norman worked for Cassel Garden Cheese and then for Menzner Lumber, beginning in 2001 where he was a production machine operator. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Wisconsin and in the Persian Gulf War. Norman enjoyed cooking for family and friends, hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors.
Survivors include his children: Brittany Leffel and Ben Leffel; mother, Arlene Leffel; siblings: Alan (Meg) Leffel, Renee (Bob) Gavinski, Suzanne (Larry) Wangberg, Jenny (Jim) Lavicka and Dawn (Tony) Walker; nieces and nephews: Noah (fiancée, Amber), Christopher, Matthew, Thomas, Tiffini (Anthony), Destiny (Kyle), Jack, Isaac and Maxwell; great-nephew, Asher; mother-in-law, Jackie Goodin, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Leffel; father, Norman E. Leffel, Sr., and father-in-law, Ronald Goodin.
