Doris Ann Haroldson
Doris Ann Haroldson, 85, Cornell, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, at Dove Healthcare in Eau Claire.
Doris was born Oct. 24, 1939, in Chippewa Falls, to Robert and Gertrude (Piehler) Rucks.
She married Thomas K. Haroldson, Dec. 18, 1954, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Cornell; together, they had three children.
Doris was born and raised in Cornell, and she was a lifelong Cornell resident.
She worked many jobs, including Presto Industries, River County Co-op, Professional Property Management Company, Custom Machine Products, Turk’s Bar And Grill, Hyder Wreath Factory, Cornell Sawmill and Oakwood Mall, as a food court hostess. She truly enjoyed cleaning.
Doris could always be found in the kitchen, cooking for her family and friends. She loved traveling around the states and going to all the different casinos, to play BINGO and the slot machines.
She enjoyed camping, having campfires, dancing and going to the different music festivals.
Doris loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will truly be missed by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her children – Timothy (Susan) Haroldson, Eau Claire; and Tammy Haroldson “AKA Samantha Brady,” St. Paul, Minn.; her grandchildren – Stacy (Mike) Warner, Elisabeth (Matt) Gramoll, Gabriel (Christie) Haroldson, Jenna (Benji) Siverling, Mary Peterson, Matthew Haroldson (Jillian Hulburt), Abigal Haroldson, Luke Deutschlander, Andrea (Zach) Wills and Jacob Deutschlander; great-grandchildren – Lola, Ella, Sophia, Isaiah, Sawyer, Gabriel Jr, Avery, Noah, Archer, Brielle, Dawson, Carter, Sampson and James; her sister – Leona Olkowski; daughter-in-law – Shari Haroldson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband – Thomas K. Haroldson; her son – Thomas J. Haroldson; her parents – Robert and Gertrude Rucks; and two brothers – Elton Rucks and Donald Wilcox.
Services will be held at noon, Saturday, Nov. 9, at Borton- Leiser Funeral Home in Cornell, with Pastor Greg Sima officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., and go until the start of the service, at noon.
Burial will follow at the Cornell Cemetery, then a celebration of life will take place at the Cornell American Legion Hall, until 4:30 p.m.
