Timothy Scherer

Timothy J. Scherer, 57, Greenwood, passed away July 30, 2024, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire. A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, at Funte’s Bar & Grill (215 S. Main St.) in Greenwood. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s cemetery in Greenwood.

Tim was born Aug. 30, 1966, in Marshfield, the son of Richard Scherer and Pat (Langreck) Scherer. He graduated from Greenwood High School in 1985. He attended UW-River Falls following high school.

In his spare time, Tim enjoyed fishing, campfires and gardening. He especially enjoyed grilling out and spending time with friends and family. Those who knew Tim best will miss his mediocre dancing, his humor and his love of the outdoors.

Tim is lovingly survived by his son, Jared Scherer of Marshfield; his girlfriend, Cindy Zickert of Greenwood; Cindy’s children: Nathan and Brandon Wortman; his mother, Patricia Scherer of Marshfield; and his brothers: Dean and Michele (Teter) Scherer, Terry and Cindy (Duval) Scherer, Tom and Andrea (Briski) Scherer, and Dave and Becky (Rueth) Scherer. He will be truly missed.

Tim was preceded in death by his father, Richard Scherer; his paternal grandparents, George Scherer and Carol Scherer; maternal grandparents, Ferd and Celia Langreck; as well as several cousins and a nephew.
