1940-2024
Dr. Jack T. Lundy, beloved educator, mentor, and community leader, passed away on June 27, 2024. Jack’s journey through life was marked by his dedication to scouting, beginning as a youth in cubs scouts, attaining the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout and later receiving the Adult Silver Beaver Award. A true educator at heart, Jack imparted knowledge and wisdom in diverse settings. He taught with passion at high schools, colleges, prisons, and outreach programs, positively influencing students from all walks of life. Jack’s love for learning extended beyond the classroom; he was an avid reader with a deep appreciation for history.
Jack’s greatest source of pride and joy was his loving, faith-filled marriage of 60 years to his cherished wife, Linda Lundy. Together, they exemplified the values of commitment, compassion, and unwavering support for each other and their family. Jack found solace and strength in his faith community at St. Timothy Catholic Church.
Beyond his professional and spiritual endeavors, Jack found peace in the garden. A skilled gardener, he delighted in nurturing vegetables and flowers, particularly his beloved roses, which he has taken care of throughout his moves across the country from his mother’s original plant.
Jack is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Lundy; their children, Marc (Sally) Lundy, Todd (Laura) Lundy and Kristi (Jared) Klein; grandchildren, Matthew, Katherine, Stephen, Sarah, Rachel, Brett, Lauren and Scott; great-granddaughter, Presley; and one greatgrandson on the way.
