On October 19, 1957, Audrey married James W. Venzke in Athens, and they worshiped together at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. Audrey had a servant heart, volunteering at church and loved being involved with her children and grandchildren. Besides her educational career, Audrey helped with the dairy farm, grew vegetables and flowers, sewed and embroidered, and was an avid reader. She also was the primary caregiver for Jim for seven years before his death.
Audrey is now reunited with her husband, Jim, and her brothers: Melvin, Gilbert and Eugene in heaven. She is survived by her sister, Dolores Venzke, and sons: Philip (Susan) of Stevens Point and Paul (Michelle) of Tomahawk, and daughters: Kathryn Wilson (Brian) of Pleasant Hill, Calif., and Esther DeSoto (Ken) of Marrero, La.
