Sylvester Lipinski Jr.

Sylvester C. Lipinski Jr. was born May 9, 1938, to Sylvester Sr. and Goldie (Ziegle) Lipinski at their home in Athens, and continued to live in the area throughout his life.

He attended school at Holy Family in Poniatowski, and began working right away on the family farm and at the local sawmill. He had various jobs throughout his life, including owning an automotive dealership and trucking companies. He developed a lifelong love for fishing, camping, hunting and spending time with his family.

He met and married the love of his life, Marilyn Krueger, in 1962 in Edgar. They were blessed with three children: Kim, Connie (Jim) Tiffany and Keith (Dawn) Lipinski, all of Athens.

Sylvester departed this life on Thursday, June 1, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers-in-law: Tom Weslowski and Frank Lepak and a sister-in-law, Jan Lipinski.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Marilyn; his children, three sisters: Lorraine (Marvin) Holbach of Marathon, Merceda Weslowski of Edgar and Joyce (Ken) Schara of Edgar; a brother, Nick Lipinski of Edgar; seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

There will be a funeral service at Peterson-Kraemer Funeral Home in Edgar on Friday, June 9, 2023. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-noon. The memorial service will start at noon.
