Lawrence A. “Larry” Rondorf, 74, Greenwood, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at The Homeplace in Dorchester. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood. Rev Emmanuel Famiyeh will officiate, and burial will follow in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Greenwood American Legion Post #238. Visitation will be held at the church, on Wednesday, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.

Lawrence Allen Rondorf was born Oct. 9, 1948, the youngest child of Joseph A. and Evelyn M. (DeMuth) Rondorf. He was raised on the family farm south of Greenwood and received his education at area schools, graduating from Greenwood High School in 1968. After graduation, he enlisted into the U.S. Army on Aug. 19, 1968, and served until his honorable discharge on Aug. 18, 1971. Larry worked for Rochester Silo and Weathershield before he retired. After retirement, he kept busy painting for many people in Greenwood and the surrounding areas.

Larry was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and had many interests, but especially enjoyed playing softball, hunting, watching sports, playing cards and doing anything that allowed him to be outdoors.

He is survived by his daughters: Randi Rondorf of Abbotsford, Rondi (Tracy) Matkovich of Holcombe and Rondell (James) Harju of Clarksville, Tenn.; one son: Ernie Rondorf of Thorp; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is further survived by three brothers: Jim (Norma) Rondorf of Cudahy, Chuck (Donna) Rondorf of West Bend and Dennis Rondorf of West Bend; two sisters: Marge Lloyd of West Bend and Patricia (Mel) Alvarado of Middleton; two sisters-in-law: Shirley Rondorf of Milwaukee and Joyce Rondorf of Marshfield; one brother-in-law: Dave Fuecht of Campbellsport; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: John and Richard Rondorf; four sisters: Phyllis Syth, Nancy Feucht, Janet Kreuser and Judy Rondorf; one brother-in-law: Jim Lloyd; two brothers-in-law: Duane Syth and Bob Kreuser; and two sisters-in-law: Sandy Rondorf and Marge Rondorf.
