Geraldine Kulas

Geraldine S. Kulas, age 92, of Abbotsford, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, Oct. 17, 2022, at the Colby Retirement Center under the tender care of St. Croix Hospice.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at noon on Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, at St. Bernard Catholic Church. Father Timothy Oudenhoven will preside. Interment to follow at Abbotsford Public Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome from 10 a.m. until the time of service Friday at the church. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is entrusted with the arrangements.

Geraldine was born on May 3, 1930, the daughter of Frank and Viola (Zettler) Pecher in rural Athens. On August 28, 1948, Geraldine was united in marriage to Sylvester Kulas. He preceded her in death on January 11, 1987. Together they raised five children.

Geraldine was survived by five children: Gary (Donna), Leah (Jim) Girard, Daryl (Diane), Galen (Rose Ann) and Kevin (Linda); 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brother, Carlton (Loretta) Pecher and a step-great-grandson.
