James Snedic
James B. Snedic, 84, West Allis, formerly of Willard, passed to eternal life, on Thursday, May 12, 2022. Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 18, at Bevsek-Verbick Funeral Home – West Allis at 4 p.m., until time of funeral service at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to your charity of choice in honor of James are appreciated.
In his youth, Jim designed and built a go-cart, a motor bike, model airplanes, and even a wooden submarine (which sank in 5 minutes). After 3 years at St. Norbert’s College, Jim transferred to Marquette and graduated with a manufacturing engineering degree. Jim also served several years in the military and worked at Hunzinger Construction briefly before being hired at Rexnord, where he was a manufacturing engineer for more than 40 years. He loved entertaining and his hospitality was extended to all. He was fond of his new white 1957 Impala hard top and later the blue 1950s Chevy truck which he drove around Mirna Dolina and Willard. With his Slovenian heritage, Jim never by-passed potica or strudel. Jim died of complications of bone marrow disease (MDS). A celebration of his life will be scheduled for a later date. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Beloved husband of Ruth Ann (nee Goehring). Loving father of Jennifer (Timothy Barber) Snedic and Remi Snedic. Dear brother of Mary Ann (Ronald Wunderlin) Snedic and William Snedic. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
