Joanne Jablonicky

Joanne M. Jablonicky, 85, of Colby, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022, at the Marshfield Hospital, surrounded by her family after months of declining health.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 6, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity. Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. at the church. A brief gathering will follow at the church.

Joanne was born on September 5, 1936, the daughter of Joseph and Mildred (Miller) Van Treeck. She graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1954.

Joanne was united in marriage to Donald Jablonicky Sr. on April 21, 1956. They moved to Unity in 1971 to become dairy farmers with their four children. They retired from farming in 1998. Her passions were their children, grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, cooking and watching golf on TV.

Joanne will be greatly missed by her husband, Donald; sons: Mark Jablonic of Pewaukee and Lance Jablonicky of Colby; and daughter, Denise Yaron of Medford; as well as her daughters-in-law: Julie (Dunn) Jablonicky and Vickie (Etten) Jablonic; sister, Ella Mae McGrath; her grandchildren: Eric, Kiersten, Lindsey, Melissa, Amanda, Kelsey, Justin, Brent and Mikayla; her great-grandchildren: Alahna, Maxtyn and Reid, and many nieces and nephews.

Joanne was preceded in death by her son, Donald Jr.; her mother and father; sister, Claire; brothers: James, Gerald and Robert; and son-in-law, Steven Yaron.
