Leon Edward Marcott

1928-2022

We mourn the passing of an amazing man, Leon Edward Marcott. At the age of 94 he ascended peacefully in his sleep Feb. 17, 2022. No services will be held at the request of Leon. Placement of ashes will be at a later date in the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery, Dorchester. His easy smile, protectiveness, sharp wit, love, and good natured humor was bestowed on all his family and friends. His love of nature, handyman skills, being a true cowboy, the outdoors and trucking was instilled in all of us from early on. Each one of his family and friends have a million wonderful memories and stories to tell of this man, from his laugh to daring deeds.

Leon is survived by his special friend, Virginia Birch; brothers, Ralph (Mary) Marcott and Donald (Rose) Marcott; children, Dean (Barbara) Marcott of Conroe, Texas, Arlen Marcott of Ashland, Lorena (Dan) Boss of Iron River, Devona (Dennis) Meske of Ashland and Kevin (Susan) Marcott of Stetsonville; grandchildren, Lisa Anderson, Byron Halverson, Shon Marcott, Shannon Marcott, Aeron Plooy, Codi Sanders, Trent Meske, Ryan Meske, Dana Wiezorek, Desirae Marcott and Kyle Marcott; 23 great-grandchildren with one more great-granddaughter on the way.

He was preceeded in death by his wife, Arlis; son-in-law, Richard Marcott; granddaughter, Maria Marcott; sisters, Alva Bakken, Doris Holcomb, Agnes Anderson, Ruth Harrington, Francis Sellors, and brother, Lavern Marcott.
