Patsy Mae Raatz was born on Dec. 8, 1945, in Marshfield, the daughter of Edward and Mavis (nee Hotchkiss) Raatz. She was raised on the family farm in Unity, and received her education in the Colby School District, graduating from Colby High School in 1965. Patsy then moved to West Bend and worked at Amity Leather until 1975. She then moved to Boulder Junction, where she worked until 1978. It was in Boulder Junction where Patsy got engaged to George D. “Foxy” Sutte, and they were united in marriage on Oct. 14, 1978, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity. Patsy and her husband worked for several area farmers until retiring in 1999 and moving to Loyal. After her husband’s death on May 22, 2008, she resided in Loyal until moving to an assisted living facility in Marshfield in 2010. Patsy then moved to Whitewater in 2012 to live with her very special niece, Kim Bushey, her husband, Chad, and their children. Patsy then moved in with Shaun and Cora Bushey and family in 2015. In 2016, she moved back in with Chad, Kim and family until her move to the Shell Lake Health Care Center in 2018, where she resided until her death. She had many interests, but especially loved working with animals and putting puzzles together with her dear friend, Peggy Bushey, while she lived with Kim.
