Jeffrey Alan Schwartz

1969-2021

Jeffrey Alan Schwartz formerly of Medford passed away on Nov. 25, 2021 at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, Minn. of complications due to Covid-19.

A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Jeff was born in Emmetsburg, IA on July 30, 1969 to parents Joseph Schwartz and Marlene (Merwin) Schwartz. The family moved to Medford in 1983 where Jeff graduated from Medford Senior High School in 1988.

Upon graduation, Jeff worked for the National Forest Service Chequamegon-Nicolet Medford office for many years before working many other jobs and moving to Winona, Minn. Jeff was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. Jeff also enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing cards, throwing darts and playing volleyball.

Jeff is survived by his father, Joseph Schwartz of Medford; sister, Melissa Kunz of Burnsville, Minn.; nephew, Kendall Kunz of Burnsville, Minn.; brother Stacy Schwartz of Cranberry Twp, Pa.; and nieces, Allison and Elizabeth Schwartz.

Jeff was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph Merwin, Mae Merwin and Louis Schwartz; and mother, Marlene Schwartz.

Jeff will be remembered for his willingness to help anyone if he could and will be greatly missed by his friends and family as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
