Sena Groh
Sena D. Groh, 69, Willard, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, with her husband and children by her side. A celebration of Sena’s life will be held at a later date.
Sena Dee Anderson was born on May 3, 1952, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Arnold B. and Esther (nee Quanderer) Anderson. Sena was a loving wife and childhood sweetheart to Fred Groh, married 54 long and happy years. She was a loving mother to five children: Sena Neff, Janice Bonogofsky, Darlene (Chuck) Pedersen, Sherry (John) Townsend, and Freddie (Carol) Groh; a sister to Arnold Anderson, Donald Anderson and Kim (Scott) Rhode; grandmother to 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and an aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Sena was a beautiful soul, an Elder of the Native American Tribe, Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians of Hayward, “The Pride of the Ojibwe.” Sena’s spirit animal was the bear.
She was a loving, giving and irreplaceable wife, mother, sister, grandmother, sister-in-law and friend. Sena wore her heart on her sleeve. She was the first person her children called when they needed love, advice or just to catch up. Sena loved to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and children. Sena was a woman who loved the beauty of nature, and a woman we all looked up to. She will be truly missed by many.
