Esther M. Steinman, 93, of Rib Lake, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 26, 2021 at the Rib Lake Health Care Center under the care of Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc. Memorial services for Esther Steinman will be held on Thursday, December 30, at 7:00 p.m., at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Rib Lake. Pastor Kenneth Bittorf will officiate. The family will receive friends for visitation from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m.

Esther was born in Interwald, on May 22, 1928, to the late Richard and Rosa (Klemm) Stibbe. She was married to Leonard Steinman on June 26, 1948; he passed away in 2000.

Esther moved to Grafton, and worked for Tecumseh Products. She later moved to Medford where she was employed at Tombstone Pizza for a short time before returning to the Interwald area. Esther cleaned the Wilderness Queen on the Willow Flowage and maintained cabins in St. Germain. She enjoyed spending time at the trailer in Wautoma, and loved musky fishing on the Willow Flowage.

Survivors include her son, Donald (Sandra) Steinman; her daughter, Sandra (fiancé Doug Kass) Mann; Esther’s grandchildren, Jeremy (Karin) Steinman, Terry (Lori) Steinman, Timothy (Hollie) Steinman, Kimberly (Jason) Christianson, Carry Jerdee, Jeremy Gill, Stacy Lea, and Jon Jeske. She is further survived by 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and an additional due in June; three step great-great grandchildren and twins due in April.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; her sisters, Myrtle Rau, Violet Johnas, Fern Novak, and Edna Steinman; and her brothers, Alvin Stibbe and Gilbert Stibbe.
