Jon was born on Sept. 4, 1973 to Martha (Knapp) Williams and Benton Grunseth. Jon grew up in Gilman and Almena. Jon graduated from Gilman High School in 1992 and went on to work for Local 268/Xcel Energy.

Jon married Ellen Grunseth in 2012 and blended their families together. He enjoyed his family and hunting immensely. Besides the love of his Life, Ellen, his greatest joys came with hunting with his children, his brothers, and other family members. While he loved softball and playing it, he loved watching his kids play ball more. Jon was an avid hunter and fisherman which he enjoyed doing with his kids as well. And, Jon loved to grill and make pancakes for his family, and a master at it he was. He gave the best hugs, he held you tight and a little bit longer and it made it extra special!

Jon is survived by his wife, Ellen; his children, Ivy Grunseth of Maplewood, Minn., Ethan Grunseth, Mikayla Waichulis, Casey Grunseth, and Dawson Grunseth of Gilman. He is also survived by his parents Marty and Randy Williams of Gilman and Bennie and Vonnie Grunseth of Almena; his siblings, Philip (Candice) Grunseth and girls of Gilman, Tyler (Nicole) Williams of Trout Creek, Mont., Riley Williams of River Falls, and Lee (Trent) Fouks and family of New Richmond.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Ivy and Thomas Grunseth; and maternal grandparents, Gerald and Dorothy Knapp.

Plombon Funeral Service is assisting the family.
