Raymond “Ray” L. Kelnhofer, age 75, of Westboro, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, at Rib Lake Health Services in Rib Lake under the care of Hope Hospice & Palliative Care. Ray was born in Rib Lake on July 13, 1946, to the late Arthur and Dorothy (Willett) Kelnhofer. He was married to Sandra Mildebrandt on Sept. 15, 2003, she survives. Memorial services for Raymond Kelnhofer will be held on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Rib Lake at 11 a.m. Rev. James Langebartels will officiate. The family will receive friends for visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at the Lakeview Cemetery.

Ray was a 1964 graduate of the Rib Lake High School and a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam. Ray moved to the Milwaukee area and began employment at H.O. Bostrom Company. He attended classes at MATC where he later taught welding courses. In 1979, Ray moved back to Rib Lake and was employed as a welder at various companies including Conseco, Omark Industries, and later retired from Blount International in 2007. Ray remained active his entire life. He enjoyed dart ball, horseshoes, and played on several softball leagues. Ray was an avid hunter and corvette enthusiast.

Survivors include his wife, Sandy Kelnhofer, of Westboro; his son, Josh Kelnhofer, of Franklin, Wis.; his daughter, Kathy (Jason) Kohl, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; his siblings, Robert Kelnhofer, of South Milwaukee, Rocky (Carolyn) Jones, of Rib Lake, Kevin (Terre) Jones, of Marshfield, Tammy (Dan) Franz, of Medford, and Terry (RaeRae) Jones, of Corpus Christi, TX; and his brother-in-law, Martin Dums, of Rib Lake. Ray is further survived by his nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Kelnhofer and Dorothy and LeRoy Jones; his infant brother, Donald Kelnhofer; his sisters, Debra Dums and Darlene Judnic; his brother-in-law, Ronald Judnic; his sisters-in-law, Phyllis Kelnhofer and JoAnne Jones; his nephew, Clark Judnic; and his father-inlaw and mother-in-law, Raymond and Marion Mildebrandt.
