Patricia Denk

Patricia Carole Denk, 77, Marshfield, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021, at Wells Nature View in Marshfi eld. A memorial service was held at 11 a.m., on Monday, Nov. 1, at Center City Church in Marshfield. Burial took place at Town of Day Cemetery in Rozellville.

Pat was born on Nov. 27, 1943, the daughter of Mary (nee Scherer) Denk and Leonard Denk. She graduated from Loyal High School in 1961. Pat started her career at Citizens National Bank in Marshfield in 1962, and in 1965 she moved to Washington, D.C., to work for the Office of Economic Opportunity Job Corps and the Federal Power Commission. She briefly moved back to Madison and worked for the Veterans Administration, but moved back to Washington, D.C., the following year to work for the Department of the Navy at the Pentagon until she retired in 1997. Pat loved working for the military. She felt needed, important and patriotic. She was proud to be a civil servant, working for the government of the United States of America. Pat moved back and lived in Marshfield in 2003 until the time of her death, having spent many days and her love of music with parents and family.

Pat is lovingly survived by her siblings: Sharon Schoonover, Diane and Jerry Anderegg, LaVonne and Charles Dragon, Kathleen and Lawrence Hutchinson, Linda and Robert Newcomer, Jeffrey and Kate Denk, and Gordon Denk; along with many nieces and nephews. She will be truly missed.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents: Mary (Scherer) Denk and Leonard Denk; and her siblings: Kristin, Kenneth and Terrence.
