Brian Bruce Jentzsch, 58, of Medford, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021 at Aspirus Hospital in Medford. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 29 at Hemer-Pickerign Funeral Home, Medford with the Rev. Mary Jo Laabs officiating. Interment will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until the time of service at 7 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.

Brian was born Aug. 3, 1963 to Audrey (Heier) and Bruce Jentzsch. He grew up in Medford and graduated from Medford High School in 1981.

On Jan. 2, 1982, Brian married Vickie Erickson. They resided in Medford where Brian started his own mink ranch. He retired from the business in 2010.

If you knew Brian you probably knew him as “Yogi” and to say he loved hunting was an understatement. Over the years, he had many bird hunting trips out west with his dad and his friends. He enjoyed sporting clays and held many championship titles across the state. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Taylor County Sportsmen’s Club, Thursday Night Hunters, and the Miller Dam Association. Yogi loved cheering on the Packers and attending games at Lambeau.

Survivors include his wife, Vickie of Medford; three daughters, Dana (Ryan) Paul of Dorchester, Paula (Jason) Johnson of Medford, Katie Jentzsch (Alex Gentry) of Medford; brothers, Bradley (Jackie) Jentzsch of Medford; mother-in-law, Sally Erickson of Gilman; grandchildren, Hank, Chet and Linus Paul, Maizy and Sabrina Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated and will be designated at a later date.
