Janice Drexler

Janice A. Drexler, age 68, of Stratford, passed away on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, at the Marshfield Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, 2021, at Peace Lutheran Church in the Town of Frankfort (114323 Huckleberry Road). Interment to be held in the church cemetery. Family and friends are welcome from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at the church. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford is entrusted with the arrangements.

Janice was born on May 16, 1953, the daughter of Alfred and Charlotte (Komarek) Hoffmann in Wausau. She graduated from Athens High School in 1971. Janice was united in marriage to John Drexler on May 4, 1973. They were later divorced. She worked at the hospital in Marshfield in the laundry department for 24-1/2 years. Janice also leased the 11th Frame Bar in Athens for 15 years. Most importantly, she loved and cherished her family.

Janice was survived by her five children: Jody (Sarah) Drexler of Stratford, Jamie (Brian) Halvorsen of Fenwood, Julie (Samuel) Ridgway of Chili, Justin (Stephanie) Drexler of Stratford and Jenny (Mike) Lauren of Ishpeming, Mich.; 13 grandchildren: Taylor, John, Dylan, Samantha, Kayla, Garrett, Tanner, Emma, Gracie, Hannah, Kaitlyn, Brandalyn and Brayden; other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Rhonda.
