Albert R. Susa Jr., 93, Wautoma, formerly of Greenwood, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday evening, Sept. 21, 2021, at ThedaCare Hospital in Neenah. A celebration of Albert’s life will be held at 1 p.m., on Friday, Oct. 8, in the Stahl Celebration and Remembrance Center, Wautoma. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of services. Full military honors will be accorded. The family has requested that masks be worn for the safety of everyone in attendance.

Albert was born on Nov. 1, 1927, in Greenwood, the son of Albert F. and Lydia (nee McCammant) Susa. He married Janet S. Fausek on June 30, 1951. Albert was raised in the Greenwood area until he entered the United States Navy and served on the USS Larson during World War II. After his services to our country, he enjoyed spending time at his cottage at Rock Dam Lake, fishing and hunting. He was employed for 30 years for the Milwaukee Road Railroad until his retirement in 1990. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Janet S. Susa; six children: Linda Koszuta, Janice Susa, Karen (Russ) Goetsch, Steven (Diana) Susa, Jeffrey (Mary) Susa and Christina (Scott) Spaulding; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, William (Marilyn) Dangers; and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Edward and Gilbert.
