Shirley Marie Jacobsen passed away on Aug. 24, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family members and Hope Hospice. There will be a celebration of life for Shirley on Sept. 11 at B.S. Bar & Catering, Medford from

12 p.m. to 5 p.m. She was born September 20, 1937 to Myrtle (Ludwig) and Harry Hamm. She received her education in the Medford School District. On May 12, 1956 she married Richard Jacobsen in Minneapolis, Minn.

She worked a variety of jobs until she started farming in 1976 until she retired. Her favorite job was being a wife, mother and grandmother. She also enjoyed bowling, playing cribbage, playing the penny and nickle machines at casinos and traveling with Richard after they retired.

She is survived by her children, David (Renee) Jacobsen and Paul ( Carol) Jacobsen of Medford; her grandchildren, Justin Jacobsen of Phoenix, Ariz., Nicole Jacobsen of Medford, Jeff Lavin of Medford and great-granddaughter, Hailey Lavin of Medford. She also survived by her siblings, Ron (Teri) Hamm of Minneapolis and Patricia (Bill) Vach of Medford; brother and sisters-in-law, Bruce (Sheila) Jacobsen and Linda (Amidon) Jacobsen; and a special friend, Wendy Geiger.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents, Myrtle and Harry Hamm; and her brother, James Hamm.
