Jody Devereaux

On Monday, July 19, 2021, Jody Devereaux, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away at the age of 54. Jody was surrounded by his wife, daughters and mother, having battled brain cancer.

He was born June 22, 1967, in Marshfield to Bill and Darlene (Schuchard) Devereaux. He attended school in Abbotsford and graduated in 1985. Jody worked in the construction field during his lifetime and operated his general contractor business, Mobile Upgrades, Inc., for over 20 years.

Jody met Wendy Baehr in 1990 and they were married March 9, 2002. They raised two daughters, Taylor and Shea.

Jody had a passion for life and was always outdoors. In particular, he could be found on his dirt bike exploring desert trails-which he did several times following his diagnosis. He raced both quads and dirt bikes. Of note he competed as an Ironman racer in both Parker 250 and the Mint 400 in recent years.

Jody was very genuine and authentic man who was loved by so many. He was especially kind and loving with his daughters and granddaughters who adored him.

Jody was predeceased by his father, William (Bill) Devereaux. He is survived by his mother, Darlene Devereaux: his wife, Wendy Baehr-Devereaux; his daughters: Taylor Devereaux-Zaldana (Elijah) and Shea Devereaux; his granddaughters: Aliyah and Parker; and his many Baehr in-laws who loved him greatly, as well as other family and many, many dear friends.

Jody’s memorial service will be held at a later time in Casa Grande Ariz.
