Elsie Fabian
Elsie E. Fabian, 95, Loyal, died on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the Colonial Center in Colby. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, July 29, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal. Rev. Daniel Zimmerman will officiate, and burial will follow in the Lutheran Cemetery in Loyal. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Elsie Ella Fabian was born on May 10, 1926, in the town of Eaton, rural Greenwood, to Clarence P. and Ella A. (nee Ehlers) Fabian. She was raised in the town of Eaton and received her education at Eaton Center School. In 1942, her family purchased a farm 3 1/2 miles northwest of Loyal. Elsie attended Loyal High School, graduating in 1944. She worked on the family farm her entire life with her brother, Herman. In 1992, they retired from farming and moved into Loyal, where they built a house. She resided in Loyal until moving to the Colonial Center in Colby in 2016. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed painting, plastic canvasing, various crafts and farming.
She is survived by one great niece: Tanya Adams of Arizona.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters: Edith Fabian, Minnie Fabian, and Helen Blyth; and three brothers: Alvin, Gilbert and Herman Fabian.
