1934-2021
Richard “Dick” A. Miller, 86, of Medford, passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the Rib Lake Nursing Home under the tender care of hospice.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 2 at Evergreen Cemetery in Medford. Military Honors provided by the Lublin American Legion Post #547. A Celebration of Life will be held at Cindy’s Bar and Grill in Post #547. He enjoyed polka music, dancing, hunting, fishing, and camping. He had a great sense of humor, always telling jokes and making people laugh.
Dick is survived by his two children, Rick (Cheri) Miller of Woodruff and Donna (Mark) Coderre of Holiday, Fla.; three grandchildren, Eric Stibal of New Port Richey, Fla., Rachelle Miller of Antigo, and Timothy Miller of Antigo; two great-grandchildren, Jacklyn Stibal of New Port Richey, Fla. and Jayce Boyd of Antigo. He is further survived by eight siblings, Connie Morarend of Waseca, Minn., Clarence (Connie) of Medford, Merlin Miller of Gilman, Frances (Sidney) Lefebvre of Elkhart, Ind., Ardella (Don) Walworth of Random Lake, Bonnie Perman of Winter Haven, Fla.. John (Shirley) Miller of Owen, and Arliss (Kim) Westerlund of Racine.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jeanette on Jan. 6, 2019; a sister, Gladys Wollmer; and a brother-in-law, Wayne Wollmer.

Dick was born on Sept. 5, 1934, the first son of Clarence and Gladys (Shufelt) Miller in Gilman. He joined the U.S. Navy and later the Marines stationed in California. Dick was a dump truck driver for many years, hauling gravel. He also tended bar in his later years.
Dick was united in marriage to Jeanette “Jean” M. Sauer-Resech on Mar. 26, 1993.
