He is also survived by two sisters: Everdeen (Albert) Podevels of Colby and Janna Hamann (John Delap) of Wausau, and a brother-in-law, Melvin Woldt of Wausau. In addition, he is survived by multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents, Arnold and Edna Viegut; a brother, Orvis Viegut, and three sisters: Grace Kutil, Marilyn Tushinski and LaVerda Woldt, in addition to sister-in-law, Vivian Viegut, and brother-in-law, Louie Kutil.
