Isabel Ann Hope Smith, two months, passed away peacefully in her loving mother’s arms on February 3, 2021. Isabel was born December 2, 2020, in Madison.

During her short time here on earth, Isabel touched many lives with her vibrant smile and personality. She enjoyed bath time, snuggling with her mommy and listening to lullabies. She also felt safe having her “big brother” Fin (the family dog) watch over her. She was loved deeply by all her family and friends.

Isabel is survived by her mother, Jessica Smith, Windsor; grandparents: James “JV” Smith (Kim Tillou), Athens and Lin (Joe) Mueller, Colby; greatgrandparents: Vernon “Bud” and Joan Smith, Loyal, Ruth Wirtz, Loyal and Marie Mueller, Colby; aunts: Kellyn (Adam) Schilling- Altoona, and Jessica (Damon) Lewer, Marshfield; godparents: Christina Miller, Loyal and Joe Maass, Marshfield; as well as many other dear extended family and friends.

Isabel was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Arne Wirtz, and great-aunt, Julie Wolford. A celebration of life was held at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2021, at the Loyal American Legion with visitation was from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor Jeff Hinds presided. The immediate family gathered for a short graveside ceremony following the service. Family and friends were welcomed to stay for a light lunch after the service.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations that will be sent on to Mikayla’s Grace, a non-profit organization that supports families with a baby in the NICU and those who experience child or pregnancy loss at hospitals in Wisconsin.

Cuddie Funeral Home of Loyal is assisting the family with arrangements.
