Larry Jeske

Larry J. Jeske, age 74, of Colby, passed away surrounded by his loving family at Marshfield Medical Center on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021.

A private family service was held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 29, 2021, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Unity. The Funeral was live streamed on the funeral home’s Facebook page or after service anytime on Facebook or the website. Rev. Amy Heinz presided. A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Colby Memorial Cemetery. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Colby is entrusted with the arrangements.

Larry was born on August 8, 1946, the son of Lawrence A. and Geraldine E. (Hudson) Jeske in Colby. He graduated from Dor-Abby High School in 1964. On May 25, 1968, he was united in marriage to Kaye Miller in Cudahy.

Larry worked for the family business, known as Four Corners Cheese Factory in Curtiss, hauling milk and making cheese. He then worked for Land O’ Lakes in Spencer for 37 years until his retirement. Larry loved to drive his Ranger and visit with friends and family and enjoyed giving his dog, Baily, a ride in the Ranger. Most importantly, Larry loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Larry is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kaye; children: Michael (Robin) Jeske, Brian (Kim) Jeske, Mark (Heather) Jeske and Thomas Jeske; grandchildren: Conner, Brent, Derek, Andrew, Britney (Michael), Brooke, Tyler, Joshua and Emma; great-grandson, Noah. He is further survived by a sister, Linda (Lyle) Peterson; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
