Marianne T. (VanDenHeuvel) Witschen

Marianne T. (VanDen-Heuvel) Witschen, 84, of Blaine, Minn., passed away Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020. A Mass of Christian Burial was Wednesday, Jan. 6 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of the Epiphany, 1900 - 111th Ave. NW, Coon Rapids, Minn. with visitation one hour prior to Mass at the church and Tuesday, Jan. 5 by RSVP, at the Washburn McReavy website.

Marianne grew up and attended elementary/ high school in Gilman. She then continued her education and graduated from St. Cloud State Teachers College in St. Cloud, Minn. She was a teacher, wife, mother, grandma, homemaker and church volunteer for many outreach activities at her parish for several years. She loved to cook, go camping, taking trips to the North Shore, spending time with family and friends, as well as going to the family vacation home. She was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.

Marianne is survived by daughter, Trudi (Jim) Witkowski; son, Ed (Debbie) Witschen; grandchildren, Tara Schmolke, Terry “TJ” Schmolke, Megan (Chad) Keller; great-grandchildren, Will, Tegan, Cici, Tristan, Jude, Pierce; sisters, Virginia Dobrzynski, Annette Bischel; brothers, Bernard (Kae), Richard (Phyllis) and Harold (Mary) VanDenHeuvel.

She was preceded in death by husband, Richard; five siblings; and grandson, Dylan.
